I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Greeting Card
To know where you are going
Removes the surprise of arrival
Even though where you arrive
Sets you in a new direction
There is no resting place
No perch for nesting
Only friends who take you in
To rescue you from the holidays
Do you even have a brother
And sister if neither remembers
To call on your birthday
Do you even have a birthday
Time to take flight and join
The other endangered species
A whooping crane or an albatross
Inside the cage with the Giant Panda from China

Dr. Mike
HK,
That's one of your best ones yet.
