You feature some of the most interesting photos around. It amazes me though how each one fits so nicely with your words. It's a gift, my friend and you use it well!!
I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Compass
If you lie north-northeast
It might be open.
If you lie south-southwest
What was open is now closed --
As closed as childhood
Or empty Easter eggs.
The wonder has gone
Into the branches overhead
That no longer house birds
As skyscrapers house families.
The arc of the sky broods
But does not rainbow.
