My experience of life is really all I have to go on in living my life. I cannot know the world as you experience it. You cannot know the world as I experience it. We can compare notes, but that's it.
I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Divorce
When a couple pulls apart,
Veins like willow trees
Rip open the very heart
Of what each side believes.
As through a myopic lens,
Both have a story well rehearsed
That righteously contends
The other wrecked the marriage first.
Their children have to choose
Which distortion to pin down
In fun house mirrors that confuse
Each parent with a grinning clown.
