I sit in the cell of my mind morning, noon, and night. I am locked in by the bars of my own perceptions. We all are. This is the nature of the ten thousand things.
But it doesn't stop us from tapping out messages on the pipes.
I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

The good news is that the freeze is always temporary.
BTW, I was looking at your plum and bamboo blog earlier tonight. Very nice. I want to read more when I have more time.
Thanks for your post and for reading.

Bamboo and Plum Blossom is renewed every day with mostly poetry from the far east. I really like the "DHARMA" type poems. the internet affords plenty.
