Desperate Choices

Faith is a choice. And because it is a choice, we can put off making it if we want to. Why make a decision about something until we have to?

Without faith, though, how can we see that we have a spiritual life? And if we don't recognize our spiritual life, how can we live and appreciate it?

Faith is that choice to see, not just look.

But again, why make a choice about something until we have to?

Most of us don't -- until we find we are powerless to control our world.

At that point, it's more of a discovery than a choice.

Me thinks it can be put off indefinitely because we don't necessarily arrive at a "have to" point.

Yes, and that, too, is a matter of faith on our part -- a choice to believe there is no "have to" point.

Faith is what comes when you can bypass the mind and see things as they are without mental labels etc. I'm doing 30 days of posts at my blog if anyone wants to check it out at Taoism 30 day experiment

Thanks for your comment. I hope your 30-day experiment bears fruit.
