I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Taoism in the West:
Everyone trying to appear more wise
than everyone else.
Fake it till you make it, as they say.
For the record, my wife took today's photo.
That would work, if the fakery didn't so often get taken to be the makery.
Real strength flows toward spiritual power which flows toward control of oneself and the relinquiishment of greed
