Money defines poverty, so is not its opposite. The opposite of poverty is affluence. The opposite of money is gift since money only exists to neutralize trade between strangers. "The way of heaven reduces excess and fills need, but the way of humans is not so: they strip the needy to serve those who have too much."
I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
