Community Project
When I am one, I know myself one way. When we are more than one, we begin to know ourselves in more than one way.
Learning ourselves is our life's work. Learning who we are also means learning who we are not.
Communities help us do this by showing us different points of view of who we are.
Wherever two or more are gathered together, a community is born.
We are all community projects.

Too often, I am a community of one. (It's an Asperger's part of life.) It's a weird feeling, but ya get used to it after awhile. ; )
"Too often" maybe, but not always.
We can't help but be communal. Every time we come in contact with another human being, we create a community. Maybe not a pleasant or healthy one, but a community all the same.
We learn something about ourselves when we encounter another person. We may not be aware of what we're learning, but we're learning all the same -- learning and growing into who we already are.
We are all community projects, so take heart.
