I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

"Le fanatisme est un monstre qui ose se dire le fils de la religion." -- Voltaire, Treatise on Tolerance.
We cannot bring them back,
All the innocents,
The ones who died for us
You would think, by now,
Voltaire’s philosophical defense
Of tolerance would be obsolete.
Or is it human nature
To murder one another
In the name of love.
