“The world as an art is the play of the Supreme Person reveling in image-making. You may call it ‘maya’ – that is, illusion – and pretend to disbelieve it; but the great artist, the ‘Mayavin,’ is not hurt. For art is ‘maya,’ it has no other explanation but that it seems to be what it is.” – Rabindranath Tagore.
I grew up in Christian fundamentalism, went to hell, came back, became a Presbyterian then a Buddhist Presbyterian, and now I'm a profane Presbyterian Zen Taoist -- not that I'm into labels or anything. Here's what I've learned so far: The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
