Why Not Want to Like?

What makes one person likable
and another person not?

If I like someone,
is it because
of something in me
or because
of something in the other?

If part of it is because
of something in me,
why wouldn't I want to try
to like everybody I meet?

  1. Good Friday

Blush to catch dust in the eye
    Flush with lucre, shaved
    And shared among the psalmists

    Swayed by the passing
As of a breeze inside presence
Farwell to the pawns of the body

    Blaring soundless bugle calls
    Plush with flare for chance
    Bees spreading all becoming
