Inner Light. Inner Darkness.

A bright light shines
inside every one of us.
We do not see this in each other
because we do not see it in ourselves.
When we see our own light within,
we see light all around us.

A shadow darkness hides
inside every one of us.
We see darkness in others
because we cannot see it in ourselves.
When we see our own darkness
we begin to see our own light.

Someone's been listening to George Harrison's "Living in the Material World"! But seriously there are times when Harrison gains the sort of synthesis that you value in your postings. The trick, as you know, is to remain authentic to each tradition, not provide a "fill-in-the-blank" templet for some sort of "McReligion." I don't always agree on where Christianity figures into your thought, but your words force me to figure out why, and that is of great value to me. Keep up the good work.
