Dark Inside


There is light everywhere.
More than enough for our needs.

But the darkness we carry inside
makes it hard to see this.

    If light comes from fire,
    Where does darkness come from? And
    Which one is a fluke?

    If light comes from fire,
    Then Yellowstone should burn and
    Dust water with ash.

    If light comes from fire,
    Then insight must be a form
    Of raging madness.

    If light comes from fire,
    A mirror will scorch eyes with
    Reflections that blind.

    Darkness or light, which
    Permeates the universe?
    Which fills all of space?
