No Corners


There are
no corners
in nature.

Only edges.

    In a world without corners
    There would be no elbows

    Nobody could club each other
    Accidentally in bed

    Where would kneecaps go
    Or artificial hips

    And armpits! And merkins!
    And diamonds on the mound!

    Unable to turn corners
    Who would grow up or start over

    What a hopeless world if nobody
    Could figure out all the angles

    Few would have an edge
    On anything

    Taking corners requires
    Hugging together
