Forest Walk


Spring wet leaf.
Summer dry leaf.
Fall mountain leaf.
Winter ground leaf.

I watch my life
play out before me
season after season
on every forest walk.

    Two Full Moons

    They are really two
    Illuminated clocks, owls
    In funhouse mirrors.

    What glows in the dark
    Is the weeping willow, stark
    Streaming film dissolves.

    All photos lie. Who
    Are those people in dumpy
    Clothes -- lost family?

    What has been cropped out
    Causes false focus on claws –
    Predators in flight.
