Simple


Every house begins
with a set of blueprints.

Living a simple life begins
by imagining a simple life.

What we start in our minds
we can finish in community.

    The glint that pearls at
    The tip of each drop flashes
    Chalk across slate blue.

    Or scissors. sharpened
    To sever the dotted line.
    Divide each star chart.

    *
    Or without warmth, fire.
    Its acrid smoke. hives of wasps,
    Bowls the palms of trees.

    *
    These filaments weave
    As if interconnecting.
    Then unravel time.
