Broken Stars

A star broken in two
shines half as bright.

A house divided
is nobody's home.

A nation split asunder
has no founding fathers.

A world fractured
is everyone's wound.

  1. Disgrace

    Harbingers of flame, twitches
At the ankles like a winged
    Mercury, blush

    As elegantly attired radicals
    Leer across the dinner.
    While you dance, desperate

    For affection among those
    Insufferably full of
    Themselves who enjoy

    Belittling and demeaning
    Whoever will not polish
The glory of their Achilles heels.
