We're Right

If we believe we can't get along with our neighbors because of their politics, we're right.

If we believe we can't work with our opponents to solve our mutual problems, we're right.

If we believe we can't find ways to live around people who are not like us, we're right.

What happens if we believe we can do these things?

  1. Power Surge

    Smothered lips, silences
    Feed breakers of spackled noise,
    Catch fire from kitchen faucets,
Water more natural now with gas.

    Raw pecans misdirect the eye
For the trick to work, a shell
    Game with death skulls inside
Pool balls on a pool table.

    We can only speculate.
    How a light switch works
Each time we flip it on
And all our problems are solved.

That fast accounts for how fast
    We expect the cornucopia horn
    To shrimp among cockleshells
    For coral to ribbon pearls.
