Nothing Is Impossible


Nothing is impossible
in the house of the imagination.

Nothing is unknowable
in the circle of the known.

Nothing is insurmountable
in the continent of the heart.

    Forbidding priests
    To marry

    And listen from back
    Pews, not preach

    Gays should get counseling
    For their mental illness
    And take their clammy hands off me

    Get out of my church

    I forgive all those
    Who broke with Christ
    Out of national patriotism

    Just as I forgave
    Any former Pope
    Who supported the Nazis

    Come back to my church
