Four Doors


When you are seeking a way out of difficult circumstances, four doors will forever open to your knock.

The first is the door of surrender.
The second is the door of defeat.
The third is the door of cleverness.
The fourth is the door of what is.

    Doors

    A door is less important
    Than what it leads to.

    Opening any door takes risk
    Stepping through to the other side.

    Choosing among several doors
    Always leads to regret.

    Doors give advance warning
    By squeaking on their hinges.

    Secret doors are oval
    And hide a peephole.

    Draw a door in the sand and wait
    For the wind to unlock its mystery
